Mahé, Praslin & La Digue
Nine days hopping between the Seychelles' three main granitic islands: Mahé's mountains, Praslin's palm forest and giant tortoises, and La Digue's bicycles and boulder beaches. Easy ferries, great snorkeling and a pace tailored to you.
The Seychelles is famous for its beaches, and they really are exceptional: powder-soft sand, clear water and granite boulders that look sculpted by hand. What surprises many visitors is how different each island feels, which is why we recommend hopping between them rather than staying in one place.
You begin on Mahé, the largest island, with a day exploring mountain trails, tea plantations and the lively market in Victoria. A fast ferry then takes you to Praslin, home of the Vallée de Mai, a UNESCO-listed palm forest where the coco de mer grows. From here, a boat trip to Curieuse Island introduces you to giant tortoises, with snorkeling in the clear water around the tiny granite islet of St Pierre.
Next comes La Digue, where bicycles are the main way to get around and the pace slows beautifully. Pedal to Anse Source d'Argent, best around low tide, snorkel off nearby islands and look for the rare paradise flycatcher. You finish with a final night back on Mahé before flying home.
Every journey is customizable. Use this plan as inspiration and we'll tailor the dates, hotels, activities, pace and budget around you. Prefer fewer moves? We can focus on two islands. Want a splurge? Add a few nights at a private-island resort. Keen divers, families and honeymooners all use the Seychelles differently, so tell us what you love and your travel designer will match the islands, hotels and boat trips to you. Transfers are simple, and we'll plan them around ferry schedules so you never feel rushed.

Giant tortoises on Curieuse
Meet Aldabra giant tortoises and walk a mangrove boardwalk, then snorkel at St Pierre.

Cycle to Anse Source d'Argent, with its sculpted granite and shallow turquoise water.

A starting point, not a fixed schedule — we adjust every day to suit you.
You are met at Seychelles International Airport and driven to your hotel on Mahé's coast. Spend the afternoon swimming or resting, and watch the sun set over the Indian Ocean.
With a local driver-guide, explore Mahé beyond its beaches. Browse the colorful market in Victoria, walk a trail in Morne Seychellois National Park, visit a tea plantation and finish on a quiet southern beach such as Anse Intendance.
Take the fast ferry, about an hour, to Praslin. In the afternoon, walk through the Vallée de Mai, where the coco de mer grows and black parrots call from the canopy, then catch the sunset at a west-facing beach.
Join a boat trip to Curieuse Island to meet giant tortoises and walk a mangrove boardwalk. After a barbecue lunch on the beach, snorkel near the granite islet of St Pierre.
A free day on Praslin. Swim at Anse Lazio, visit the bird reserve on Cousin Island on a day it is open to visitors, or simply rest in the shade of a takamaka tree.
A short ferry ride brings you to La Digue, where bicycles are the main way to get around. Cycle to L'Union Estate and Anse Source d'Argent, famous for its sculpted granite boulders and best seen around low tide.
Board a boat to snorkel off nearby islands such as Coco Island and Félicité, with lunch on a beach. Later, cycle to Grand Anse or visit the Veuve Special Reserve, home of the paradise flycatcher.
Take the ferry back to Mahé via Praslin. Spend your final night on a quieter stretch of the coast, with a last swim, a Creole dinner and the sunset.
Enjoy a final morning by the water. Your private transfer then takes you to the international airport for your onward flight.
A few of the ways travelers tailor this journey:
Fly instead of sail
Swap the Mahé to Praslin ferry for a short domestic flight, which helps if you are prone to seasickness.
Add a private-island stay
Finish with a few nights at a private-island resort for total seclusion.
Focus on two islands
Fewer moves, more beach: split your time between Praslin and La Digue only.
Dive the granitic islands
Add guided dives or a certification course with a reputable local dive center.
Start with a safari
Pair the islands with a Kenya or Tanzania safari; we will find sensible regional flight connections.
