Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to explore Africa with us, both on this website and on the trips we plan.

Our website

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. In particular:

  • Pages are built to work with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Photos have text descriptions, and pages use proper headings and landmarks.
  • The trip planner uses real form controls, clear labels and error messages, and moves focus to each new question.
  • Text and buttons are designed for good contrast, and animations are reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.

We haven't yet had the site independently audited, and we're working toward that.

Some parts rely on third-party services, such as the spam check on our forms. If anything gets in your way, please tell us and we'll help you another way, for example by planning your trip with you by email or phone.

Accessible travel

Tell us about any mobility, sensory or other needs when you plan your trip. We'll ask the right questions, look for suitable lodges, vehicles and activities, and tell you honestly what is and isn't possible in each place.

Feedback

If you find an accessibility problem on this website, please contact us using the details on our Contact page. We read every message and use it to improve the site.
